Bon appétit

ON THE MENU TODAY chocolate cupcakes with a coffee flavored topping. I loove doing pastry! The weirdest is that I usually don't like eating them. I feel super guilty knowing there's so much butter and sugar inside. This was my first time doing cupcakes and actually I was well suprised on how easy it was to make them. I decorated the plate with melted chocolate and a leaf of basil. Anyways skipping the pastry things, I enjoy reading ELLE magazine website. They come up with great ideas and this week there was an article on braids.  I'm obsessed with braids. It is so unfortunate that I can't do them to myself. Hopefully, I have very kind friends who always let me play with their hair. Since Anastasia came over at my house I tried to do it the way they showed on ELLE website. Here's the result that I'm quite proud of.

WHEN I WENT to Omnitrade Fashion Showroom I saw this dress and couldn't help myself but borrow it. Back home I tried it on quickly, but when I actually wore it to shoot the pictures, I totally fell in love with it. It's A+RO SS 2012 collection. I just love the knitted pattern and how it makes one's silhouette look slim. A simple dress to wear on a beach day or with a leather jacket on a cool day which makes it look more rock. Not too long, not too short, I don't know if I will be able to return it or simply store it in my wardrobe. It's the perfect summer dress I've been longing for so long. I don't know if I am developping a hat mania but I'm crazy about them. This Panama has been in my collection for a very long time now, it's a real one (what I mean by real is that it comes from Ecuador and not the deal you find in H&M). I went in a small store in Lausanne which sells any kind and good quality hat. I guess I was so charmed by the dress that I didn't want to accessories it with more items and let it shine by its own.

I HAVE always liked total white look but never had the clothes to do it. The other day I bought this wonderful maxi skirt (also in black) and I am just to pleased with it. They will be perfect for Fall with knit. What I also like about these maxi skirt is that they are open on both sides and it looks more sexy than the usual.

LATELY THE WEATHER has been so nice that when the other it was a bit cold I thought it was fall. Obviously it wasn't and I had to change later in the day. Last wednesday I went in Vich next to Gland to visit for the second time Omnitrade Showroom and meet with sweet Macha who lent me some of the showroom's clothes. This is my first time collaborating with them and I'm super excited about it. At the showroom they had awesome clothes. Seriously, if I could, I would have taken everything there. And now that I have them with me I don't want to return them to Omnitrade. I'm wearing a knit from the brand A+RO. I love how the back is open. I have always had a hard time finding a knit that would suit myself and this one was just perfect. The material is comfy cause it's not to heavy and the color is different from what you usually see. It would have been better to wear it with a cooler weather though. I have borrowed also another dress from the same brand, I won't tell more about it but I can't wait to show you how beautiful it is.

ALL THE PICTURES we took in Ouchy are blurry it is such a shame cause I really liked my outfit. I was wearing the dress I bought in Sandro and my new hat from H&M. I'm only posting the close-ups cause they are the only not blurry. Hope next time they will be better, but should. 

Mango Fall 2012

I LOVE the new Mango Fall 2012 collection. I have a big big crush on the boots above. Already last spring I was longing for sandals but in the end I didn't buy them and regretted, but this time as soon as they are out I'm going to get them. On the whole the collection is classical and tends to be minimalist. They didn't go for color blocks, you see more brown, black, white, jean, beige, olive green and sometimes red burgundy. The colors I wear daily. On my whishlist too is a military like jacket, but I still haven't find my coup de coeur.

SEVENTH AND LAST OUTFIT, I had so much fun with my brother and friend photographer taking the pictures at night (you can see it on the second picture). I was actually running in a park of roses and with bare feet. Anyways, thank you to Mireille for lending me the wonderful dress from La Robe de Mes Rêves. A vintage dress but depending how you wear it just fits perfectly the situation and is in a better quality than some actual clothing. I hope that I have shown you that Vintage is actually very easy to wear in everyday life and not as extravagant as it seems. So now I'd like to know how did you find this themed week? Is it something I should do again? What would you change? I'd like to know.

SIXTH OUTFIT, this is what I'd wear easily on an normal day. It is more for fall than actually summer. I love the mix between the jacket and shirt. By adding the necklaces together I tried to make the look less classical. When we took the pictures I think we might have bothered the people there, but anyways it was fun.

FIFTH OUTFIT, it's a really simple evening outfit with only a sequin jacket. The hat might be more extravagant for some so I'd recommend to wear it with some cat's eye sunglasses or simply with big earrings ans necklace. For this special week I wanted to stay simple to show you that you can wear Vintage very easly. So how do you like it?

FOURTH OUTFIT, I had so much fun taking the pictures when I was running in the field. Anyways I'm staying simple with the clothing to show you that Vintage is easy to wear. So this would be a nice outfit for a casual afternoon, for example. And I really love what Michael did with the makeup, looove it.
